VoIP for Home
VoIP at home is an easy way to eliminate your long distance costs, and potentially consolidate your Internet and telephone services into one monthly bill.
The most convenient service for homes is the fully hardware-based setup where you use phone sets just like with your traditional land line telephone service, without a PC. In this case, you need either an ATA (Analogue Terminal Adaptor) with a traditional phone or an IP phone, along with a service. (However IP phones tend to be a lot more expensive.)
Several Internet Service Providers are now starting to offer VoIP for the home user. You may want to start by asking your ISP if they offer VoIP services.
